Background and Achievements
During law school, Kelli was a law clerk for Foster & Harmon in East Lansing, Michigan and Colpean & Associates in Haslett, Michigan. She also completed an internship at the Macomb County Circuit Court with the Honorable Richard Caretti. Kelli was an editor of the Journal of Medicine and Law and a member of the Family Law Society and the Student Division of the American Bar Association.
At Michigan State, Kelli was an active member of the Moot Court and Advocacy Board. A student instructor of the Moot Court Competition Class, she captained the team that traveled to New York Law School for the Robert F. Wagner National Labor & Employment Law Moot Court Competition, the largest student-run moot court competition in the country. Kelly and her teammates argued in front of a bench of federal Court of Appeals judges to win the national championship. Her team was also awarded a second place brief award and Kelli scored as the fifth highest-ranked oral advocate, selected from nearly 100 competitors.
